History

The Court of District and Sessions Judge, Churachandpur was established on 29th October, 2014. The territorial jurisdiction of the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Churachandpur extends throughout the revenue district of Churachandpur, Manipur. There are two subordinate Courts under its jurisdiction: Court of Civil Judge (Senior Division)-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate and Court of Civil Judge (Junior Division)-cum-Judicial Magistrate First Class. Before the establishment of the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Churachandpur, the revenue district of Churachandpur was under the jurisdiction of the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Manipur West at Imphal, with the above subordinate Courts already in existence.
